Laser Engraving Wood Products

Engraved wooden products and surfaces

We engrave wooden products made from plywood, MDF, HDF, laminated wood, as well as other wood-based materials suitable for laser processing. The engraving result depends on the material composition, layer structure, adhesives, and surface finishing.
Because these materials are industrially manufactured, their structure is usually more uniform than solid wood, allowing for a more stable and predictable engraving result.

Precision and applications

Laser engraving allows clear text, graphic elements, and fine details to be achieved even on complex products. Since engraving is performed without mechanical contact, wooden products are not pressed or deformed.
Laser engraving of wooden products is commonly used for:
Nameplates and information plaques,
Marking and identification,
Decorative elements,
Corporate gifts and souvenirs,
Serial products with consistent design.

Engraving depth and surface appearance

During engraving, the laser removes the top material layer, creating an image through contrast between the engraved area and the surface. Unlike solid wood, engraving on wood-based products is usually more even and uniform due to the consistent layer structure.

In some products, especially plywood, internal layers may become visible during engraving. This is a natural material characteristic and is evaluated before production. If a cleaner surface is required, protective measures may be used to reduce soot residue.

Laser engraving of wooden products is performed using vector or raster files provided (DXF, SVG, PDF, JPG, PNG). Before engraving, we evaluate the product type, surface condition, and layout detail to select appropriate parameters and ensure a stable result.
