Laser Cutting Cardboard

Types and thickness of cardboard processed

We laser cut various types of cardboard suitable for laser processing, including micro-corrugated board, packaging cardboard, model-making cardboard, and other similar cardboard products. Cutting capabilities depend on the cardboard structure, density, and thickness. The maximum cardboard thickness that can be processed while maintaining small tolerances is 15 mm. Thinner and more uniform cardboards allow achieving very precise and clean cuts. Thicker or multi-layer cardboards are evaluated individually, selecting appropriate cutting parameters.

Precision and applications

Laser cutting allows precise cutting of both simple shapes and complex contours. Since there is no mechanical pressure, the cardboard is not deformed during cutting.
Laser cutting of cardboard is suitable for:
Packaging and box prototypes,
Mock-ups and models,
Advertising and display elements,
Decorative elements.

Cut properties and edge appearance

When cutting cardboard with a laser, the cut edges may slightly darken due to thermal effects. This is a natural characteristic of laser cutting, especially when cutting thicker or denser cardboard. The cut remains precise and smooth, without additional mechanical finishing.

Cardboard laser cutting is performed using provided vector files (DXF, SVG, PDF). Prieš gamybą įvertiname kartono tipą, storį ir detalių sudėtingumą, kad būtų parinkti tinkami pjovimo parametrai ir užtikrintas stabilus rezultatas.
