Laser Cutting Fabrics

Types and thickness of fabrics processed

We laser cut various fabrics used in the production of clothing, accessories, and other textile products. The most commonly cut materials are synthetic and blended fabrics such as polyester, nylon, neoprene, as well as some natural fabrics, depending on their composition and density.
Cutting capabilities depend on fabric thickness, weave, fiber type, and reaction to thermal effects.

Before production, we evaluate the fabric composition, as different fabrics react differently to laser heat.

Precision and applications

Laser cutting allows precise cutting of both simple shapes and complex contours with internal cutouts. Since cutting is performed without mechanical contact, the fabric is not stretched, deformed, or pressed, preserving accurate part size and shape.
Laser cutting of fabrics is most commonly used for:
Manufacturing clothing and garment components,
Accessories and decorative elements,
Interior textiles,
Prototypes and small to medium production runs.

Cut properties and edge appearance

When cutting fabrics with a laser, the edges of synthetic fabrics often fuse, preventing fraying or unraveling. This is one of the main advantages of laser fabric cutting, especially in sewing and serial production processes. In the case of natural fabrics, the appearance of cut edges depends on the fiber structure – in some cases, slight thermal effects may be visible. Before production, appropriate parameters are selected to achieve optimal results.

Laser cutting of fabrics is performed using provided vector files (DXF, SVG, PDF). Prieš pradedant gamybą įvertiname audinio tipą, storį, detalių sudėtingumą ir paskirtį, kad būtų parinkti tinkamiausi pjovimo parametrai ir užtikrintas stabilus, pakartojamas rezultatas.

Do you have questions or are you ready to place an order?

If you have a file or would like to consult about fabric composition, cutting possibilities, and suitability for laser processing, please submit an inquiry. We will evaluate the project and offer the most suitable solution.
